In 2008 phones and tablets were seemingly “disposable” when problems occurred. From his basement workshop, Gem City Founder, Paul, starting changing all of that. Paul found better ways to salvage non-working phones from top to bottom; while doing so, he tested and implemented effective methods to save rescue and transfer data efficiently and in an affordable way.
It became Paul’s mission to start implementing these processes on a broader scale, allowing more people to have their phones and other devices repaired instead of declaring a total loss.
As word traveled, this home-based electronics repair shop became known as the place to go to save time, money and a lot of frustration related to electronics sales and service.
From that humble basement workshop, Gem City Digital was born.
Year after year, we continue to refine our processes. We’ve now repaired tens of thousands of devices and made many new friends in the process. We love to engage with the local community and support other local businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations.

We’re now located at The Greene between Books & Company and AT&T. We maintain a staff of about 15 technicians that boast a variety of professional specialty skills making our full-service organization adaptable to a variety of needs and requests.
